This stovetop is great. It works exactly as described, and expected. Just take it out of the case, open the fuel compartment and drop in I can of butane. There is a little spring loaded clip to make sure it stays aligned, close the door, and press down the lock button to lock in the can of gas, it's almost automatic. You don't have to clip the can of gas in and guess if it is hooked up right or not. This is a great, safe design.
After you have the gas installed, make sure the plate on top is right side up and ready to accept a pan, and turn the knob all the way to the left slowly, until the auto igniter clicks. It lights almost every single time, and uses very little gas while cooking. There is even a ring around the burner that helps block the wind while using outside.
This stove top has really been thought out, and for such a cheap price, it is definitely worth it. Highly recommended. Even for use at home, not just camping.
This is great for camping or just the backyard table. It is nice to have a hot chocolate when it is cold out. The burners are great and provide various levels to cook or warm. Handy carrying case and very efficient for the use of the bottles. Great gift for someone that travels or outdoors man.
This is a great burner to cook with at the campsite. Comes with a case so you can store it easily. The butane is very easy to load and the burner itself is very easy to use. Burns hot and burns efficiently. Simple design and simple to use. For the price, you really can’t beat it. I would call it pretty compact. It’s not a compact as some of the minimalist camping designs, but I’m not really a minimalist camper. This is great!
Well I have to say I love this simple stove. It took me awhile to find the recommended butane listed on the box, but I'm guessing most butane of the right size would work just as well, I didn't want to review it without one of the recommended brands. I found these on amazon only in a larger 8 pack. That said, it works great, has superb safety features and though I only used it to test it out, I found it easy, safe and simple to use. I expect to use it mostly during the rare winter storm that causes power outage. But it would be absolutely great for camping as well.
The case that comes with it, is compact and makes travel easy. The butane tank fits inside the case too and so it's all ready to go when you need it. I plan to keep it home for those emergency situations since I have an electric stove. My camper has its own propane stove, but it would be a great back up for travel in case we run out of propane or if the altitude affects our propane when we travel in Colorado.
Brought it with us camping in Tahoe for 3 days and it was the best purchase so far! Cooked like a charm! Besides the great price, it performed perfectly! Easy to set up, compact, lightweight steel, sturdy and loved the carrying case! No loose pieces. Already loaded the butane tank without actually connecting it into it, it was an easy, open the case take it out, flip the grill plate, open the casing lid to the butane canister, align & lock it in place, close the lid, pull the safety lock down next to the ignite button, twist the button to ignite and you’re cooking!
